The VERBA Mewaco feeding trough for fattening pigs or piglets, is made of an all stainless steel trough and frame with a transparent feed bunker. The Mewaco feeding trough is suitable for feeding flour, pellets and crumbs. The drinking bowl with the stainless steel Verba nipple is completely separated from the feeding section for perfect operation and optimal feed conversion. As a result, this feed trough works significantly cost-effectively and no water can creep into the feed in the hopper. This clearly separated feeding and drinking trough makes the Mewaco unique in its kind which makes the Mewaco a very popular feeding trough for pig farmers who expect high quality and are very concerned with optimal feed conversion. The Mewaco also has a stainless steel stirring rod on the inside that moves along with the dosing mechanism and keeps the feed loose, making Mewaco the best in the test against feed bridging. This makes the Mewaco also excellently suited to the feeding of CCM. The Mewaco can be set very accurately and quickly with the spindle that cannot move out of position. This saves on labor costs and ensures that there is virtually no feed spillage. The Mewaco feeding trough is standard equipped with 2 stainless steel U-profiles so that it can be easily built into a partition wall. Stainless steel mounting angles and a lid are available as options. The double Mewaco for very large groups of piglets or fattening pigs with a bunker capacity of 275 liters, the so-called Mewaco duo, comes with a lid as standard.
We have received from ABZ animal feed a beautiful film of the very nice pig house with 3500 fattening pigs from the Krüs family. The Krüs family tested several different brands of troughs and the Mewaco came out as the best pig feeder in the test. The Mewaco provides excellent dosing of the fine meal-like compound feed that they mix themselves with their own CCM. We notice that more and more pig farmers in the Netherlands start to feed finer dry feed and the Mewaco feeder was specially developed for this purpose 20 years ago. In other countries, where there are many self-mixing companies, the Mewaco has been used in large numbers for a long time. In the Netherlands this is now also slowly starting to grow, especially when feed prices continue to rise.
